The Heads of State Initiatives (HoSI) is a growing movement of political leaders driving progress for water, sanitation, hygiene, as well as related targets under UN Agenda 2030 and the Paris Climate Agreement.

Achieving universal access to water, sanitation, and hygiene is not just a goal; it is a political commitment through which leaders are solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Through HoSI, national leaders are making vital contributions to poverty reduction, peacebuilding, and the realization of human rights.

Their efforts promote long-term stability and pave the way for a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient future. Initiatives are tailored to each country's unique context, helping achieve critical goals like making communities more resilient to climate change and solving public health crises such as waterborne diseases or open defecation.

Regardless of format, they are comprehensive visions which include increased budget allocations, innovative financing sources, and robust strategies for infrastructure development. They aim to improve public health, enhance climate resiliency, and drive economic growth.
